April Glam Bag Review
This is a sponsored post but all opinions are entirely my own.
You may of read my review on last months Glam Bag and if you did you would have seen that I got a few cool items but I wasn’t totally sold on the Ipsy Glam Bags yet. This month though is pretty different. Whoever put together my bag this month was completely in tune with what I needed. Big-time kudos.
What Is A Glam Bag?
For those of you that are new to Glam Bags, I’ll fill you in. Ipsy Glam Bags are a monthly subscription of $10 a month. Every month you receive a specialized makeup bag containing 5 various beauty product samples like the ones listed below. Sometimes these are small samples and sometimes they are full-sized.
Either way, you can save a ton of money getting to try out (sometimes) expensive brands and they actually last for several uses! If you would like to try out Ipsy’s Glam Bag for yourself click here.
What I Got In My April Glam Bag
Butterfly Glam Bag-
April Glam Bag came with this super darling butterfly bag. It has rose-gold corners, zipper and zipper tag which accents the bag so wonderfully. The back and inside of the bag are a light lavender purple color with a hint of pink. This bag is very nice quality and absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t be more happy with it. It’s going to be hard for them to top it in the coming months!
Ciate London Starstruck Double-ended Stamp Liquid Liner (Limited Edition)-
How was it?
I really love this product and I’m actually a little bummed it’s a limited edition. I’ve been using it every day. It stays on all day with no smearing or melting and looks great. Very nice precision for beautiful straight lines and you can get them so thin! The liner comes out just right too! I haven’t had any problems with too little or too much liner coming out.
The best part is the stamp! It lays such perfect little stars on your face for a really fun way to spice things up. They will smear though if touched or if you apply makeup too roughly over it so just don’t touch it and you will be fine. It lasted on me all day and I have played with it several different days now mixing up my looks. This product is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.Also See: 25 Ways To Begin Living A Happier Life, March Glam Bag Review, Piercing Precautions,
Where Can I Get One? ($19)
While Ipsy has many great Ciate London product available for purchase (20% in-store cashback rebate if you are subscribed to their Glam Bag) they don’t have this eyeliner available for purchase.
Actually, as far as I can tell no one has this eyeliner for sale. Not even Ciate London. What you can get is the regular version of the eyeliner though. (Without the stamp.) I’m sorry ladies I was really hoping I could find this one for you. If you would like the Ciate London Fierce Flicks here is a link for you.
LunaCosmetics Luna Eyeshadow In Spiced Pumpkin-
How Was It?
I LOVE it! It is so beautiful. It looks absolutely amazing for a smoky look. It has great pigment, a hint of shimmer, it never creases, it goes on super smooth, and it lasts all day long.
Where Can I Get It? ($15)
You can purchase this one at Ipsy. It is originally $15 but right now it’s on sale for $12. If you are a Glam Bag subscriber you get the additional 20% in-store cash rebate making it $9.60.
Glamour Dolls Romantic Rose Blending Brush- How Was It?
This brush works excellent for blending and shading the crease of the eye. I had a beautiful look in seconds with next to no effort. The brush pretty much did all the work and the soft fiber bristles don’t leave any streaks either. Besides all that it’s a very cute little brush!
It’s cruelty-free, vegan and great for sensitive skin. It has synthetic hairs that are great for cleaning and long-lasting use.
Where Can I Get It? ($4.99)
You can get this one at Ipsy for $3.99 with a rebate.
Trissola Leave-In Conditioner-
How Was It?
This little container has lasted me all week so far. I have used it every night after my shower and I have applied it a couple times on my dry hair the next morning also. So, I have been really struggling with my dry, damaged hair. I am still nursing and my daughter plays with my hair all the time and can be a little rough on it. I haven’t trimmed my hair in too long and desperately need to.
I was hoping this product would be the answer to my prayers and would help repair some of the damage and tame the frizz but I don’t think it really has. Keep in mind though that this really could be due to my lack of hair care and rough treatment on my daughters part. I’m not ready to give up on this product yet. Besides, it makes my hair smell like sugar cookies. I do like it I’m just not so sure there isn’t some better leave-in conditioner out there.
This is what Ipsy says about this product:
- We applied it in the AM and our hair was smoother, shinier, and frizz-free all day.
- It smells just like vanilla cupcakes (yummm).
- Vitamins B5, A, and E help prevent split ends, lock in moisture, and keep color-treated hair vibrant.
- No sulfates, phosphates, or parabens went into this formula—so it’s healthy and safe to use every day.
Where Can I Get It?($24)
On Ipsy of course! After the 20% rebate, it’s only $19.20.
Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask-
How Was It?
I have only used it once so far but it is amazing! Immediately after rinsing this off my face was no joke 10x smoother. My complexion looked nice and beautiful… I’m sure more of my blackheads and such would have cleared up with regular use. My face felt great for 3 days! Definitely, recommend this product.
I’m sure it would have felt great for longer but I tried some sample foundation 3 days in and that stuff had me all dry and broken out the next day. I didn’t want to overkill my face so I let it heal on its own for a couple days.
Where Can You Get It?($77)
Once again, good ol‘ Ipsy has your back covered. This product is originally $77 at Ipsy it’s on sale for $69.30 but is only $55.44 after their in-store rebate! Huge savings!
